Suilad!

My computer desktop has the A Elbereth Gilthoniel song, also called The passing of the Elves or The Elvish Lament, and I will show you the translation for it...

The desktop has the poem animated with DesktopX and transforms into a men.
You can see it here.

The A Elbereth Gilthoniel song has 2 variants, one was used on the scene that was cut from LotR and that one was the The Elvish Lament, and the other is actually the Hymn to Elbereth, which is considered to be the largest Sindarin text in the book, found at the end of the chapter "Many meetings", and it has a Tengwar version called Aerlinn in Edhil o Imladris the "Hymn of the Elves of Rivendell". Click Here to see this version.

So the one I got on my desktop is the one from the cut scene from LotR with a little bit of the song, The passing of the Elves or The Elvish Lament

and here is the whole song

the translation for it is:
Fanuilos heryn aglar
Snow White! Snow White! O Lady clear!
Rîn athar annún-aearath,
O Queen beyond the Western Seas!
Calad ammen i reniar
O Light to us that wander there
Mi ‘aladhremmin ennorath!
Amid the world of woven trees!
A Elbereth Gilthoniel
O Elbereth Gilthoniel!
I chîn a thûl lin míriel
Clear are thy eyes and bright is breath,
Fanuilos le linnathon
Snow-white! Snow-white! We sing to thee
Ne ndor haer thar i aearon.
In a far land beyond the Sea!
A elin na gaim eglerib
O Stars that in the Sunless Year
Ned în ben-anor trerennin
With shining hand by thee were sown,
Si silivrin ne pherth ‘waewib
In windy fields now bright and clear
Cenim lyth thílyn thuiennin.
We see your silver blossom blown!
A Elbereth Gilthoniel
O Elbereth Gilthoniel!
Men echenim sí derthiel
We still remember, we who dwell
Ne chaered hen nu ‘aladhath
In this far land beneath the trees,
Ngilith or annún-aearath.
Thy starlight on the Western Seas

(This is what I have in my desktop as a menu)

another Sindarin song that I love is Evenstar, from Arwen's vision of Aragorn.

the translation is:
Ú i vethed...
This is not the end...
nâ i onnad.
It is the beginning.
Si boe ú-dhannathach
You cannot falter now
Ae ú-esteliach nad —
If you trust nothing else
Estelio han —
Trust this —
estelio veleth.
Trust love.

The Elessar's Oath. All three lines are sung by Aragorn at his coronation.

Et Eärello Endorenna utúlien.
Out of the Great Sea to Middle-earth I am come
Sinome maruvan ar Hildinyar
In this place I will abide, and my heirs,
tenn’ Ambar-metta!
unto the ending of the world.

The rest of the lyrics he sings in FotR Extended Edition DVD in the marshes, the poem is called "The Song of Beren and Lúthien".

Tinúviel elvanui
Tinúviel the elven-fair,
Elleth alfirin edhelhael
Immortal maiden elven-wise,
O hon ring finnil fuinui
About him cast her shadowy hair
A renc gelebrin thiliol
And arms like silver glimmering.

I use some Sindarin in my stuff too...
In World of Warcraft my character name is Faradriel, night elf (alliance) and blod elf (horde) hunter. Farad- is hunter, -riel is lady, so it means huntress. My horde's pet's name is Faradrim, means hunter.
=D

I just love this
